Welcome to Lady's Slipper Tea

I'm excited to make the  first post to my first blog site - ever,  Lady's Slipper Tea!!!  I have long dreamed of opening a tea room and I'm in the process, I fear a long one, of opening a tea room of my very own.   In this blog I hope you will enjoy following the  trials and tribulations of opening a tea room as I try recipes, taste teas, find a tea room home and equipment, including beautiful vintage tea cups. I have searched for a similar blog for tea room advice and since I have been unsuccessful in my quest, I have decided to create my own blog.  In addition, you will also find posts of concerning other passions I have including visiting  tea rooms,  books and movies, shopping, collecting antiques, and hobbies.  Maybe you will have similar interests and we will find there is something of a kindred spirit in the two of us.
Below is a picture of the Pink Lady's Slipper.  It is a member of the orchid family and is endangered in both Georgia (my home state) and Great Britain.  It is my favorite wildflower and once I found it was endangered in both areas of the world, it was a natural choice to name my tea room.  Don't you think this is a delicate and beautiful gem in our beloved woods here in Georgia?  Hopefully this will be a great name for my future tea room.
Thank you for visiting me, now please step into my virtual tea room, relax over a cup of tea,  and embark with me on this exciting  journey.
